Mrs Penkalla
My name is Mrs Penkalla. I’m a trainee teacher in French in the languages department. Teaching has always been an interesting career to me since I was a teenager!
Prior to my training, I passed my Baccalaureate at Saint Jean High school in France. I attended the University of Lille where I studied Business, Economy and Marketing to get my degree. Then I started a master’s degree to finalise my university journey. After passing my Master 1, I worked as a trader for few years in different companies in France, before realising the path I took didn't work for me anymore. I met my husband and moved to England without really speaking English fluently. With hard work and consistency, I became fluent, and joined the Basildon Academies.
I started my journey with The Basildon Academies in 2019 as a cover supervisor for a few years and started my Initial Teacher Training in 2022. I expect to have completed my ECT2 training by July 2025.
I would like to continue to develop my role as a teacher, impacting the futures of students, helping develop them in becoming adults and prepare them for working life. I feel positive that my career will develop, and I look forward to hopefully taking on further roles at BA.
